What if they Are All Corrupt?

Sometimes somebody expresses a sentiment better or as well or from a different perspective than we can ourselves. This is one of those times.

What if they are all corrupt?

"Unfortunately, with all of their prowess, vision of the future and the knowledge of history and human behavior, the Founders erred badly in their assumption that a body of men who hold power would not continuously strive to increase their power, in spite of the Separation of Powers doctrine embedded in the core of the constitution. They further erred in assuming that the PEOPLE would pay attention and hold those men with the power, accountable. Both assumptions have turned out to be grossly wrong and what you see around you today, nationally and internationally, are the result of those wrong assumptions.

The Founders provided mechanisms in the constitution for weeding out the bad ones through impeachment or recall proceedings. Except for one thing; these men and women of power will protect their own and there is no inside power to keep them from doing so. AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL : WITH REGARDS WRONGFUL DEEDS OF OUR OWN ELECTED PARTY MEMBERS, WE SHALL NOT TURN A BLIND EYE.

WHEREAS, the interests and the well-beig of the country and the general public supercede the interests of any political party, we will not turn a blind eye to the corruption, graft, malifeasance and conflicts of interests of our elected party officials, but rather shall act to determine the truth of the matter without bias and censure any known treapassers accordingly, despite their affiliation with our political party. Still further, we recognise the law of the United States as the lowest minimum level of acceptable human behavior and we pledge to hold our own people accountable to a higher standard the law prescribes. WE PLEDGE TO BE RESPONSIBLE AND ACOUNTABLE FOR OUR OWN PEOPLE.

AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL : WITH REGARDS TO BAIL OUTS AND STIMULUS BILLS...

PROPOSED PLATFORM PLANK : WE believe that the preferred method of resolution of Economic Turmoil is to allow the forces of the free market to prevail; HOWEVER, reflective of the political realities that exist, that any future bail out or stimulus bill shall include requirements that the recipient company and its owners, executive management cannot directly or through 3rd parties; make any political contributions for 9 years. This to prevent actual or the perceived appearance of conflicts of interest and prevent temptation of public officials to vote counter to the interests of the general public. In the instance where any bribe or campaign contribution can traced back to the recipient of any bailout or stimulus money, the funds recieved shall be returned in their entirement to the government within 6 months... AT THE STATE OF MINNESOTA LEVEL : THE CITIZENS SHALL BE GRANTED UNFETTERED ACCESS TO THE GRAND JURY...

Over the course of the last century, Minnesota Politicians virtually eliminated access of the average citizen to the Minnesota Grand Jury. The Minnesota Grand Jury had been used extensively by citizens to prosecute public officials for courruption, etc. EACH POLITICAL PARTY SHOULD INCLUDE IN ITS PLATFORM A DEMAND THAT THE CITIZENS BE ALLOWED ACCESS TO THE MINNESOTA GRAND JURY. AT THE STATE OF MINNESOTA LEVEL : WITH REGARD TO OVERSIGHT OF THE JUDICIARY BY THE LEGISLATURE...

We support and demand the return of supervision of the Judiciary to the Legislative Branch to reinstate the checks and balances that the original writes of the Minnesota Constitution intended. Article Six Section Nine of the Minnesota Constitution clearly directs it is the intent of the people for the Legislature to discipline the Judicial Branch. We oppose the Quie Bill. DON MASHAK'S CHALLENGE TO USA POLITICAL PARTIES!

THIS IS DON MASHAK'S CHALLENGE TO ALL USA POLITICAL PARTIES TO ADOPT PLATFORM PLANKS AND TAKE POSITIONS ON POLITICAL ISSUES CONSISTENT WITH THE CONSTITUTIONAL CONCEPTS OF LIFE LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS AS IT APPLIES TO AVERAGE CITIZENS. Don Mashak believes there are a few basic core beliefs that should be adopted for the platform of any USA Political Party. Libertarian, Democrat, Republican, Communist, Green - What ever they call themselves, there seems to be a few fundamental Party Platform Planks and Political Positions they should be able to agree upon. These will be published as proposed Political Party Planks and Philosophical Beliefs that any Political Party devoted to the welfare, general public good and the principals of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness should endorse if they have the best interests of the General Public in mind. It seems to Don Mashak, the Cynical Patriot, that the mess we find ourselves here in 2009, results from a moral and ethical bankruptcy that none of the political parties had the forsight or constitution to address. In this next election, the average US Voter will be much more attuned to the arrogance of the current government establishment. The average US Citizens has more than 2 Trillion Reasons to be concerned... 700B bank bailouts with no accounting of the funds, AIG, the Automobile Industry and an unfunded 2 Trillion Dollar stimulus package have Americans restless.
